Bangladesh Railway’s “mango train” to run from June 13

Like in previous years, Bangladesh Railway (BR) is going to operate a "special mango train" this year too – to facilitate transport of mangoes at a lower cost.

Operation of the "mango train" from Rohanpur of Chapainawabganj to Dhaka via Rajshahi will start from June 13, Asim Kumar Talukder, general manager (West) of BR, told The Daily Star today.

In 2020, the special mango train was launched for the first time in the wake of growers' transportation problems amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
