National Film Award winning singer Palash Sajjad immediately drove to the hospital emergency on Monday night, after he felt unbearable chest pain. The angiogram report revealed 99 percent blockage in one of his arteries. A ring (stent) was put on his heart immediately. The news was confirmed by his elder brother, Ali Ahsan Bokul.

After being kept in the coronary care unit (CCU) for two days, Palash has been shifted to hospital cabin today. Ali Ahsan shared that Palash is stable now, and after staying a few days of supervision, he will be discharged from the hospital.

Palash began his career in music with forming the band Orbit. He was one of the most popular voices in to 90s. In his career, Palash sang over 1000 songs in films, and he has more than 200 albums released, of which he has more than 38 single albums. His first solo album was "Premer Thikana".

Some of his memorable songs are – "Maa Tumi Amar Agey Jeyo Nago Morey", "O Priyojon", "Ki Emon Chhilo Proyojon", and "Manush Boro Sharthopor", among many others.

Due to personal reasons, the singer became sporadic in his work, later in his career.
