Mustafizur among wickets in warm-up
Mustafizur Rahman's three-wicket was the bright spot for the visitors on day three ahead of their two-Test series against the Caribbeans as the three-day warm-up match between Bangladesh and President's XI ended as a draw at the Coolidge Cricket Ground yesterday.
The Cutter Master scalped three wickets in only six overs while giving away 34 runs. Ebadot Hossain also bagged three wickets the day before as the West Indies side posted 359 for eight before declaring their first innings.
Previously, Bangladesh Opener Tamim Iqbal played an unbeaten knock of 162 in their first innings, guiding his side to declare their first innings on 310 for seven. However, Tamim didn't bat in the second innings as Mahmudul Hasan Joy and former Test skipper Mominul Haque started the second innings for the Tigers.
Mominul, who returned to the dressing room for a duck in the first innings, continued his poor form with the bat as he only scored four runs before getting himself run out by Tevin Imlach.
Bangladesh posted 47 runs on the board while losing a solitary wicket before the match was called tied.
Fast bowler Ebadot Hossain shared his satisfaction about the match in a video message.
"Everyone had a good preparation. Everyone in the batting order has performed really well. Tamim bhai scored over 150 while Shanto got a half century.
"The bowlers had a good start too, Mustafiz joined today and scalped two wickets in his first over and got another later on. In terms of preparation, we have really enjoyed this three-day match," Ebadot said.
