3 Covid-19 deaths, 1,280 cases reported in 24 hours

Three people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,138 and the death rate stands at 1.48 percent.

At least 1,280 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during the period.

The current positivity rate is 15.07 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.75 percent.

Meanwhile, with the new infections the total number of cases rose to 19,63,493, added the release.

A total of 8,492 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 102 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,06,519 and the recovery rate at 97.10 percent, said the release.

Among the three deceased, one was a man and two women. Of them, one was between 31-40 years old, one was between 41-50, and one was 81-90 years old, added the release.
