Celebrating Eid with family: Shariful Razz

Sariful Islam Razz has earned a place for himself as one of the rising actors on the silver screen, ever since his debut in "Ice-cream". Raihan Rafi directorial "Poran", featuring Razz, Bidya Sinha Mim, and Yash Rohan will hit the theatres this Eid-ul-Adha. Razz has awestruck with his villainous look in the film.

Another film featuring the actor, "Hawa", is pipelined for release this month. In a recent conversation with The Daily Star, the actor has shared his expectations, Eid plans and more.

"We worked on 'Poran' before the pandemic had hit, and in these three years, we were somehow connected with the team, working on the post productions and other activities regarding the project," says the actor. "The story of 'Poran' is located in a small town, based on a true incident. Raihan Rafi's storytelling will move the audience."

Razz is spending time with his wife Pori Moni, and are expecting their first child to arrive very soon. "I am trying to give my entire attention to Pori and our unborn child, we are excited for the arrival of our baby," says the "Networker Baire" actor. The couple appeared on "Eid Ananda Mela" on BTV yesterday.

"Since childhood, we would look forward to BTV Eid programmes, it was a great honour to be a part of the show," says Razz. "We enjoyed shooting for the programme, and Afran Nisho was fantastic as a host."

Razz also shares that he is elated with back to back release of the projects he had worked in the recent years. "Pori is my lucky charm, so is our child," says an emotional Razz.

Razz and Pori will celebrate the festival spending time together.

Sharing the experience of working in "Hawa", the actor says the apart from the challenges they had faced during the making of the movie, they had also enjoyed, beyond all the risk factors they had survived in this process.

"We stayed in Saint Martins for 2 months, and every day at 3 in the morning, we would start getting ready for the shoot, and shoot for the entire day until evening in the middle of the sea," asserts the actor, who plays the role of an engine operator in the film.

"During that time, we got stuck in the severe cyclone storm Bulbul, hence there was scarcity of food supplies in the island."

He added that they had to borrow foods from the locals. "It was a unique experience working with Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, along with sharing the screen with actor like Chanchal Chowdhury. I am emotionally connected with the entire team of this project."

Razz will be featured on Gias Uddin Selim directorial "Kajol Rekha"

Razz will celebrate Eid with his family, and he will also attend the first show with the team of "Poran". "Pori is my first priority, I will try to be in all the promotions within my limitations."

The actor has some more good projects, which are in the works. He is waiting for the release of "Damal" and "Rokto Joba", while shootings for "Kajol Rekha" and "Dewaler Desh" are yet to be completed.
