Dhaka stocks open higher

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) opened higher today riding on yesterday's last-moment gain.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse in Bangladesh, rose 77 points, or 1.27 per cent, to 6,160 at 12:05 pm. Turnover stood at Tk 465 crore.

Of the securities, 298 advanced, 50 declined and 34 remained unchanged.                   

Yesterday, stocks returned to positive territory after a massive fall for nine consecutive trading days.
