One of the most talented and beloved actors of this generation, Tasnia Farin, has been gracing us with her amazing and versatile works like the Zee5 show, 'Ladies & Gentlemen,' for which she won the award of Best Actor (Female) at the Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2021. We caught up with her to have an enchanting conversation about her expectations, struggles, and what's in store for her in the future.

You were nominated in the Best Actor (Female) category for the portrayal of Sabila in 'Ladies & Gentlemen.' How does it feel to get this special recognition?

I feel honoured for the nomination. It was a very special project, the first OTT work of the acclaimed director, Mostofa Sarwar Farooqi, and I got to work with amazing actors like Afzal Hossain and Partha Barua. The character Sabila is a favourite of mine, and audiences really appreciated her role as they understood and identified with her struggles, so it feels very good to be nominated for portraying her.

How much do you identify with Sabila yourself?

I absolutely loved the fact she is a headstrong and confident girl. It was like my feelings were aligned with her outlook; she knew what she wanted, and worked diligently for it amidst all the odds working against her. She wanted justice more than anything and her indomitable spirit is something that I identify most with.

What has been actor Tasnia Farin's biggest struggle and how does she overcome it?

I would say my biggest struggle is to explore my potential fully, to push my limit. Projects that are challenging and will constantly push me and help me grow as an artist is what I look forward to most, so in a sense, my struggles are never-ending but that's what keeps pushing me to do better always.

You are known as an avid reader. What's your favourite book and character? If you had to choose one role to play, which one would it be?

Oh, there are so many! I have so many favourite books as I just love to read, but if I have to name one, it's The Godfather. I also love classics, like the works of Rabindranath Tagore, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay and would love to portray classic characters like Labonno, but of course, it has to be the right project with the right direction.

What's in the future for Tasnia Farin and what should your fans look forward to?

Fans always expect quality work and I hope I will be able to deliver them in the future too. I want to be a different person every day, explore various ways to be a better artist, set no boundaries and hopefully in the future, be recognised globally through my work.
