Talented actor Tanvir Tonu marked his acting debut on the silver screen with Malek Afsari's film "Full & Final", in the year 2013. The film starred Shakib Khan and Eamin Haque Bobby in the lead roles.

Beginning his career as a model, he appeared in a telecom brand's TVC, under the direction of Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. Later, he went on working simultaneously on tele-fictions and serials, TV commercials and films as well. He also worked in the following projects – Ispahani Arif Jahan's "Gunda: The Terrorist", Shafiq Hasan's "Shopno Chhowa", Sarwar Hossain's "Khash Jomin" and Saikat Nasir's "Pashan".

Recently his film "Boshonto Bikel", directed by Rafique Shikder, was released in 19 halls countrywide.

"I played doctor Sukumar Saha, who was appointed as a doctor in Vellore," he shares. "At one point he realises that he has duties towards his own people. Thus, he decides to return to his own roots." The film also features Shipon Mitra and Subha Shah Humyra alongside Omar Sani, Suchorita, Shiba Shanu, Don, and Shahnoor.

Like his role in "Boshonto Bikel", who cares about underprivileged people, Tanvir, in real life runs a social cause organisation –" Urgent Support Bangladesh". His organisation has over 500 volunteers across the country, who are working relentlessly to lend their support for the people in need. "As an artiste, I felt it is my duty to stand beside people," she adds."

Tanvir opened up about being a victim of film politics, which according to him, hampered his career. "My career in film was going really well, I was getting offers for lead roles, but then I was accused of something which I never did. However, the jury's decision was in my favour and I was proved guiltless."

He stated that it was a part of politics plotted against him. "Ever since I began getting offers for lead roles, some people were plotting against me, and this was the result."

The actor also shared that he lost the majority of the projects under his belt, after that incident. "Even though I was dealt an unfortunate twist of fate, believe that the Almighty will bring justice for me," he says.

He currently has a handful of projects pipelined for release -- Komol Sarkar's "Contract Marriage", Muntahidul Liton's "Dui Ghonta Dosh Minute" -- which have got clearances from the censor board. "Kobor" is awaiting release as well.

According to Tanvir, the response for "Boshonto Bikel" has been satisfactory. The actor looks forward to working in OTT, and shares that he is in the talks for some projects on that medium as well.
