Audi brings its mountain bicycle in Bangladesh
When we hear the name Audi, the first thing that comes to our mind is fast German cars with their famous Quattro All-Wheel Drive system. What most people don't know is that Audi also made bicycles. This bicycle in particular is called Audi Cross Pro RS, produced in 2009. Audi produced a total of only 150 units of this MTB, a very limited number which makes this cycle very exclusive.
Now coming to the spicy stuff, the specifications.
Although Audi didn't make all the parts themselves, they did source a very impressive combination. The frame itself was Aluminum designed by Audi Sport GmbH, formerly known as Quattro GmbH, the rims were Aluminum as well with a futuristic design. It has the 27-speed Shimano XTR and XT gear derailleurs and gear shifters. The crankset is also from Shimano, it's called XT Hollowtech II, the bottom bracket is integrated with the crank, reducing the overall weight, then again increasing the strength, the brakes as well are from Shimano, they are 2-piston Shimano Deore XT callipers with carbon pads.
For the suspensions, Audi decided to use Rockshox SID XC in the rear and MRD 80mm fork in the front, rebound can be adjusted on both suspensions. Because of that Aluminum frame and rims, they were able to achieve 12.5kg back in the day.
This is the only unit available currently in Bangladesh.
