Being in your mid-20s feels weird for a lot of reasons. You have to deal with the transition from academics to a full-time profession, prepare for higher studies, look for jobs, participate in certain family matters, and so on. Uncertainty is everywhere, and you can't escape the reality that life throws your way.

However, none of this feels as jarring as having to watch your friends and classmates getting married, having kids, and starting a family of their own.

It's life's normal order, I get that. But when that normality is knocking, and you're the one behind the door, that's when things start getting serious, and you're hit with a wave of emotions that you can't control or deal with without having a few nervous breakdowns first.

Weddings aren't that bad, of course. The kacchi is nice, and having your friends over for a quick hangout session at an overpriced convention centre is a dream come true, right? I guess as long as it's not my wedding that I have to attend, I'll be fine.
