‘Kagoj’ and ‘Payer Chhap’ released today 

Today two films, "Payer Chhap" directed by Saiful Islam Mannu, and "Kagoj" directed by Ali Zulfikar Zahedi will be released in a combined total of 18 theatres across the country. "Payer Chhap" will be released in 11 theatres, while "Kagoj" will be released in seven. 

The romantic-thriller, "Kagoj", stars Mamnun Hasan Emon, Airin Sultana, and Maimuna Momo. "Kagoj" revolves around Emon's character, who works in the recycled paper industry, but secretly aspires to be a famous writer.

As the film progresses, Emon discovers an old book, where he finds a comment that reads, "If you're struggling to put your thoughts down on paper, go back to where you started." Following this, Emon returns to his village after 16 years, where he meets the person who inspired his love for writing when he was younger.

Earlier, "Kagoj" received two awards at the Tagore International Film Festival in Kolkata and Kollywood International Film Festival in Tamilnadu. 

On the other hand, Meghla Mukta starrer "Payer Chhap" centres around the struggles of a woman and her success stories. Meghla Mukta is the first and only Bangladeshi actress who has appeared in a South Indian project. She earned a lot of appreciation for her performance in the 2019 Telugu film, "Shakala Kala Vallabhudu".

The film also stars Deepanwita Martin, Pran Roy, Deepa Khandakar, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Korvi Mizan and Naresh Bhuiyan, among others.
