Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached the playground of Uttara sector-15, from where she will inaugurate a new mode of public transport that the country has never seen before -- the electricity-powered metro rail of Dhaka.

Over the last couple of hours, the stage has been set for the watershed moment as dignitaries started to take seats at the venue.

People from all walks of life and ruling Awami League activists are pouring into the playground of Uttara sector-15, from where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate a new mode of public transport that the country has never seen before -- the electricity-powered metro rail of Dhaka.

Hasina is scheduled to announce the inauguration of service release commemorative postal stamps and notes. She will then travel on the metro rail from Uttara North station to Agargaon.

Among others, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq, Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Foreign Minister Abdul Momen and AL leader Maita Chowdhury have reached to the venue.
