Sylhet make verbal complaints about approach from fixers

News surfaced today that a director of the Sylhet Strikers franchise, led by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, was approached by a bookie.

Sylhet verbally reported the incident to the Anti-Corruption Unit. 

BPL governing council member secretary Ismail Haider Mallick confirmed the matter.

"They [Sylhet] have communicated verbally but haven't made any written complaints. Every week there are eight to ten complaints such as this and if the ACU feels the need to then they investigate such matters," Mallick told The Daily Star.

The matter will be left for ACU to decide what actions they can take or whether it merits a serious investigation on their part.
