No Covid-19 death in 24hrs; positivity rate 0.42%

No Covid-19 death was reported in 24 hours till 8:00am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in the country remains at 29,441 and the mortality rate is 1.45 percent.

At least nine new cases were reported in this 24-hour period. The total number of cases meanwhile, rose to 20,37,386, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 0.42 percent while the total positivity rate is 13.39 percent, said the release.

A total of 2,164 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 197 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,89,962 and the recovery rate 97.67 percent, added the release.
