Stocks rise for second day
Stocks in Bangladesh rose for the second consecutive day today.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained 18 points, or 0.29 per cent, to 6,282 at 12:10 pm.
Turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 277 crore.
Of the securities, 73 advanced, 90 declined and 156 did not show any price movement.
The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, inched up 42 points, or 0.22 per cent, to 18,499.
Of the issues, 40 rose, 28 retreated and 48 did not see any price swing.
