Argentine football league honours Bangladesh

Argentine football has once again paid tribute to Bangladesh for the country's huge support by displaying the Bangladesh flag before the kickoff of a league game recently.

A picture was posted on the verified social media accounts of Liga Profesional de Fútbol de la AFA, or the professional football league of Argentina, displaying mascots holding a Bangladesh flag behind an Argentine flag with words reading: Gracias Bangladesh -- Dhonnobaad (Thanks Bangladesh).

The picture was reportedly taken prior to the kickoff of Argentina Primera Division fixture between hosts Gimnasia and Defense y Justica at the Juan Carmelo Zerillo Stadium on Monday. Gimnasia lost the match 2-0.

The post on social media accompanied a caption, reading: "Thank you Bangladesh. The World Champions League will forever be grateful."
