The 14th edition of the Asia Pharma Expo 2023 started at International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka today to display the latest technologies and equipment of the pharma industry.

Some 645 companies from 27 countries, including America, China, England, Germany, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ireland and Bangladesh, participated in this year's three-day show.

The companies are displaying pharma processing and packaging equipment, biotech lab equipment, active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing plants and machinery, pharma formulations and contract manufacturing machineries.

Nazmul Hassan, president of the Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI), inaugurated the expo organised by the BAPI in collaboration with GPE Pvt. Ltd.

With the expo, domestic and foreign entrepreneurs will get to know the details about various types of modern equipment, parts and raw materials related to the pharmaceutical industry, according to the organisers.

Paresh Jhurmarvala, founder and CEO of GPE Expo; Abdul Muktadir, chairman and managing director of Incepta Pharmaceuticals, and SM Shafiuzzaman, secretary general of BAPI, also attended the launch event.
