‘Buker Moddhe Agun’ allegedly based on Salman Shah, released
Popular actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba stunned the audience in his new avatar as ASP Golam Mamun in the trailer of the much-anticipated series "Buker Moddhe Agun". Directed by Taneem Rahman Angshu, the series is now streaming on Hoichoi.
In the trailer, Yash Rohan played the character of popular hero Armaan, who gets killed one day at the peak of his career. The death ignited public outrage and an investigation which was led by ASP Golam Mamun. Tama Mirza played the character of Sabina, the wife of Armaan and Shahnaz Sumi played the character of Shabnam, the co-actor of Arman.
Before the release of the series, it has been reported that "Buker Moddhe Agun" reflects the life of superstar Salman Shah, and the circumstances of his mysterious death. While his name was not mentioned in the series, the story is built around his life.
Because of this, Salman Shah's uncle, Alamgir Kumkum, has sent a legal notice in February, through Sylhet Judge Court lawyer, Mohammad Moinul Islam, to the makers of the series to halt the release.
The star-studded web-series has also cast Tariq Anam Khan, Gazi Rakayet, Tauquir Ahmed, Tama Mirza and Shahnaz Sumi, Tania Ahmed, and Abu Hurayra Tanvir among others.
