Twitter has reportedly been hit with a major bug and is currently down for thousands of users across the globe.

Outage detector site Downdetector.com saw a spike in complaints around 11:30 PM Bangladesh time. 

Users who click on Twitter links or simply type in twitter.com on browsers are presented with a lengthy error message stating that there was a problem with Twitter's API.

Since Elon Musk became the company's new owner, Twitter has largely disbanded its PR team and has not yet commented on the incident.

However, at the time of writing this report, Twitter is still accessible from Bangladesh through its iOS app.
