RU clash: 4 injured students sent to Dhaka for better treatment
Four Rajshahi University students who were seriously injured in Saturday's clash with locals and police have been sent to Dhaka for better treatment today.
The injured students are: Mesbaul Islam Sayem of the Persian language and literature department, Al Amin and Shahrukh Mahmud students of the law department, and Alimul Saqib of the marketing department.
They started off for Dhaka around 7:00am on an ambulance, RU Proctor Asabul Haque said.
Three of them will be treated at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and one at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Yousuf Ali, head of Ophthalmology Department at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, said shotgun pellets entered the eyes of the three injured students and the hospital authorities referred them to Dhaka for better treatment.
