This week saw the release of BTS Jimin's debut solo album, "FACE". The album is already creating impressive records and becoming an instant fan favorite. "FACE" has set a record by selling over one million copies on its first day of release. 

With a stunning one million purchases on day one, Jimin has now become the first male artist (solo), in Hanteo history, to have such a sale. Previously, the record was held by Lim Young Woong's "IM HERO", which sold slightly less than one million copies on its first day.

Hanteo is a South Korean music chart system, where the real-time sales of all K-pop albums are counted.

Meanwhile, "FACE" ranked seventh on the overall list of Korean albums with the highest day one sales. BTS ranks among the greatest first-day sales of all time, with 2020's "Map of the Soul: 7" still holding the record for the largest 24-hour debut, with over 2.65 million copies sold. BTS is the only Korean band to have sold more than two million copies of an album on its first day of release.

Jimin releases new single 'Set Me Free Pt.2'

Jimin's "FACE" is currently available for streaming globally and includes five songs: "Set Me Free Pt.2", "Like Crazy", "Face-off", "Interlude: Dive", and "Alone".
