BSF’s DG visits Banglabandha Zero Point
The Director General of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) Dr SL Thaosen today visited Banglabandha Zero Point in Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh.
The BSF chief made the courtesy visit to enhance the friendly relationship between the two border guards of the neighbouring countries, said a press release issued by Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB).
Additional Director General and Regional Commander of North-West Region of BGB Brig Gen Mohammad Morshed greeted the BSF's DG with a flower bouquet after he reached the Zero Point with a team of BSF officials through the Phulbari border, reports our Thakurgaon correspondent quoting the press release.
The BGB's regional commander also handed him a memento on behalf of the regional BGB command.
Later, the BSF chief received a guard of honour from a BGB team.
During his visit, he also took part in a view exchange meeting with the officials of BGB and BSF, the release added.
Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier of BSF Ajai Singh, Sector Commander of Thakurgaon Sector of BGB Colonel MH Hafijur Rahman, Commanding Officer of 18 Panchagarh BGB Battalion Lt Colonel Jubayet Hasan, among others, were present at the occasion.
