Monica Bellucci pairs with Jenna Ortega in 'Beetlejuice 2'
Monica Bellucci is reportedly in final negotiations to play Beetlejuice's wife in the upcoming sequel directed by Tim Burton.The film also stars Jenna Ortega and Justin Theroux, with Michael Keaton returning as the beloved poltergeist. Jenna Ortega will play the daughter of Lydia Deetz, played by Winona Ryder in the original film.
The original movie was released in 1988 and was a box office and critical success. The sequel has been in development for several decades, with the official announcement made by Warner Bros last year. The script has been written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the creators of the hit series "Wednesday".
