Moviyana to celebrate Mrinal Sen’s birth centenary tomorrow
The Moviyana Film Society is gearing up to pay homage to the legendary Bengali filmmaker Mrinal Sen on the occasion of his birth centenary.
The society has organised a special discussion program, which will be held tomorrow at Pathak Shamabesh Centre in the capital's Kataban area.
Filmmaker Masihuddin Shaker, film teacher Haider Rizvi, photographer Nasir Ali Mamun, art critic Moinuddin Khaled, and artist Sabyasachi Hazra will be present among the notable personalities.
The event will be presided over by filmmaker and writer Belayat Hossain Mamun. The society has also plans to unveil a special commemorative poster highlighting Mrinal Sen's remarkable cinematic legacy during the programme.
