On Sunday, during the inauguration of a beauty parlour, Barsha revealed that she has been highly impressed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and that her strong leadership makes Barsha want to follow in her footsteps.

"There are thousands of female leaders in the country. Among them, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the best. The Prime Minister speaks so beautifully about the society and works to preserve the rights of women and children. It really touches my heart. This has inspired me to want to join politics, so that I can create an impact on society. Sometimes I do get scared that my image might be ruined in politics, but the desire to do something good makes me want to be a part of it," shared the actress.

When asked which party she wants to campaign for, the actress replied, "If Awami League calls me to campaign for their party, I can go as a celebrity. Awami League has done so much for the country that if they call, I will go there instantly. However, if I feel that going there will lead to controversy, then I might not," added the actress.

Ananta and Barsha's upcoming film, "Netri: The Leader", was supposed to be released this Eid-ul-Azha. However, the release date has now been postponed. The film is a joint production between Bangladesh and Turkey. It is being directed by South India's Upendra Madhav and Ananta Jalil.

"Netri: The Leader" also stars Ilias Kanchan alongside Indian actors Kabir Duhan Singh, Tarun Arora and Pradeep Rawat, along with many artistes from Turkey.
