Asaduzzaman Noor takes centre stage in 'Remand' at BSA today
Eminent actor and Member of Parliament, Asaduzzaman Noor will be seen in the play "Remand" today. Theatre troupe Hridmoncho will stage its production "Remand" at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) today at 7pm.
Asaduzzaman Noor will be playing the role of a writer, who gets embroiled in controversy. The mysterious writer falls into the custody of the police and is interrogated. The whole story revolves around the incidents that take place in the interrogation room.
Speaking about the play, Asaduzzaman Noor informed The Daily Star, " 'Remand' is a different sort of play. It is difficutl to act on stage at this age, however all of that fades in comparison to the compliments and admiration I get after wrapping up a role."
"I have enjoyed acting all my life, thus I am still here," answered the veteran acrtor, when asked about his thoughts on still continuing to act at his age.
Shuvashis Sinha has penned the screenplay and directed "Remand". The play also stars Jyoti Sinha, Kamaluddin Kabir, Sajib Hossain, and Shanaz Jahan, among others.
