BCB extends help to ailing Mohsin
Bangladesh Cricket Board has assured to extend all the support needed to the ailing former national football team captain Mohammad Mohsin.
The 60-year-old star goalkeeper of 1980s and '90s has fallen into hard times, physically ill and currently lives in Dhaka with his brother. After a report published in a national daily on Monday, his plight came into public domain, and BCB has come forward to extend its help.
"Bangladesh Cricket Board always stands by sports people from any discipline who are in trouble. Mohsin Bhai's issue is similar and it has come to the board president's notice. He has instructed us to take measures to give him all the support," BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told reporters regarding board president Nazmul Hassan's directive.
Nizamuddin said that the board president has instructed to extend any help that the former footballer needs.
"His family hasn't directly asked for any financial help. They have said about his physical condition and we want to have him physically assessed as soon as possible for his physical issues. We have also instructed our legal advisors to extend legal help to him regarding disputes over his land and property," the BCB CEO added.
