Militant training camp busted in Ctg, 5 held

Rapid Action Battalion have busted a militant training camp in Banshkhali upazila of Chittagong and arrested five persons along with large number of firearms and training equipment.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-7 launched a drive in Lotmoni hilly area from Saturday afternoon to 6:00am today and unearthed the training camp, ASP Sohel Mahmud, assistant director of Rab-7.

The elite force personnel also arrested five persons from the camp, the Rab official said. He, however, did not disclose the identities of the arrestees.

Details about the recovery will be made public through a press briefing scheduled to be held later in the day, reports our Chittagong correspondent.
