Excitement soars as Raima Sen becomes the latest addition to Vivek Agnihotri's highly anticipated film, "The Vaccine War." The director recently took to social media to announce the star-studded cast, which now includes the talented Raima Sen alongside Nana Patekar and Sapthami Gowda. The film is currently in production.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Raima Sen expressed her enthusiasm for this opportunity. While some may consider it a Bollywood comeback for her, the versatile actor clarified, "It won't be a Bollywood comeback as such. It may be a film (comeback), yes. But, last year my show 'Mai' was released on Netflix. I've also done a show for Amazon Prime Video this year, which is yet to be released."

Raima admitted that "The Vaccine War" will mark her comeback in a full-length Hindi film. Her career in Bollywood began with the critically acclaimed "Godmother," and she went on to showcase her talent in films like "Daman," "Fun2shh... Dudes in the 10th Century," "Parineeta," "Dus," and "Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd," among others. She also gained recognition in Bengali cinema, particularly with the success of Rituparno Ghosh's "Chokher Bali," where she shared the screen with Aishwarya Rai.

"The Vaccine War" aims to delve into the world of Indian bio-scientists and their revolutionary vaccines that played a crucial role in combating the 2020 pandemic. The film pays tribute to the unwavering dedication of scientists, doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals who stood tall during the unprecedented challenges posed by the Covid-19 outbreak in India.

The film will be released on October 24.
