Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal estimated that voter turnout at Sylhet city polls was around 46 percent while it was around 52-55 percent in Rajshahi city election.

Habibul while talking with reporters after the elections at his office also said that both the polls were held without any major untoward incidents.

"Voters have exercised their franchise without any kind of obstacle", he said.

The elections were held in free and fair manner, and with festivity, he added.
