The prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) edged up in the morning session today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse in Bangladesh, added 7 points, or 0.12 per cent, to 6,328 at 11:20 am.

Turnover stood at Tk 316 crore.

Of the securities, 117 advanced, 51 declined and 143 remained unchanged.

The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, gained 11 points, or 0.06 per cent, to 18,779.

Of the issues, 47 rose, 28 retreated, and 41 saw no price movement.

Turnover of the port city bourse stood at Tk 2.1 crore at 11:21 am.
