After reading the script, I instantly fell in love with the story: Nusraat Faria on ‘Patalghor’

Today, much anticipated Nusraat Faria and Afsana Mimi starrer, "Patalghor" will be released exclusively on Chorki. Directed and scripted by the talented Noor Imran Mithu, the film boasts an ensemble cast, including Nusraat Faria, Afsana Mimi, and Mamunur Rashid, among others.

Afsana Mimi will be seen playing a single mother, who struggles through life with her only daughter by her side, played by Nusraat Faria.

Nusraat Faria shared her excitement about the film, stating, "I've never been part of such a project before, so I was eager to take on this role. After reading the script, I instantly fell in love with the story. I hope the audience will witness something truly remarkable."

Director Noor Imran Mithu shed light on the film's inspiration, saying, "I wanted to delve into the complexities of a challenging period of one's life. 'Patalghor' portrays how individuals strive amidst unfavorable circumstances, capturing the impact of a pandemic as well. The actors' dedication has been invaluable, and we're eager for the audience to experience this tale."

Prior to being released in Bangladesh, the film was screened in various international festivals and even competed in the 'Asian Competition' category at the prestigious Bengaluru International Film Festival. The film was also screened at the 53rd International Film Festival of India.
