‘Shurongo’ and ‘Priyotoma’ unite against piracy
Both "Shurongo" and "Priyotoma" have recently become victims of piracy after their film's were released on movie-related platforms. The "Shurongo" team, which included Raihan Rafi, Afran Nisho, Tama Mirza, and "Priyotoma" producer Arshad Adnan, went to DIG Harunor Rashid's office to seek legal help for their film's infringement.
Raihan Rafi announced the news on his Facebook by thanking everyone.
"Thank you DIG Harunor Rashid sir and Arshad Adnan bhai for staying beside us. We are taking legal action to ensure the end of piracy and cyber-bullying. I am requesting everyone who have uploaded our film on Facebook and YouTube to remove it immediately," said the director.
Yesterday, Rafi posted a status where he called out the perpetrators and threatened them that he will be ensuring legal action against them.
"They meticulously crafted a strategy to make our film vulnerable to piracy. Initially, they attempted to leak key climax sequences from movies. They then used their minions to make those scenes viral on Facebook and YouTube. And now they've released the entire film on social media platforms," read his post.
"Shurongo" is still running houseful across many theaters in the country. The film was released in 108 halls in America and also received great response in Kolkata.
