Tigers reach Colombo
Bangladesh national cricket team reached Sri Lankan capital Colombo on Sunday afternoon after flying out from Dhaka in the morning ahead of the Asia Cup.
The continental showpiece event of cricket takes off in Pakistan and Sri Lanka on August 30, with Bangladesh scheduled to play their first match against the Lankans in Kandy on August 31.
The Tigers, who will play their last group game against Afghanistan in Lahore on September 3, had to leave without two of their players . Regular opener Liton Das could not join his teammates due to illness while newcomer Tanzim Hasan Sakib, a replacement for pacer Ebadot Hossain, is yet to get his ticket after being a late inclusion into the side.
