Dhaka celebrates ‘Jawan’ on its worldwide release day
Bollywood's Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Jawan" made its debut in Bangladesh on September 7, coinciding with its global release date. This marked a significant milestone as it was the first time since Bangladesh's independence that a Hindi-language movie premiered in the country simultaneously with its worldwide release.
Action Cut Entertainment and Rongdhonu Group jointly imported the action film to Bangladesh. According to reliable sources, "Jawan" is now being screened in a total of 46 theaters across Bangladesh, with a staggering 237 daily showings.
Star Cineplex and several multiplexes, including Blockbuster, eagerly hosted the premiere shows of "Jaawan" on the evening of September 7. At Star Cineplex's Bashundhara branch, Shah Rukh Khan's ardent fans began queuing up for advance tickets as early as 6 pm, echoing chants of 'Jawan, Jawan' throughout the venue. A number of fans proudly sported "Jawan" t-shirts in solidarity with their beloved star.
The initial screening at Star Cineplex experienced a slight delay due to the necessary clearance from the Censor Board of Bangladesh, which was granted after 3 pm.
The curtain finally rose for the first showing of "Jawan" a little before 8 pm. From the moment Shah Rukh Khan graced the screen to the pulsating beats of his songs, the theater resonated with the exhilaration of the audience. The fervor and excitement of his fans at Star Cineplex were undeniable, adding to the electrifying atmosphere.
In "Jawan", Shah Rukh Khan shares the screen with South Indian superstar Nayanthara, while the ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Vijay Sethupathi.
