Akshay unveils hilarious 'Welcome to the Jungle' teaser on birthday
On the occasion of his 56th birthday on Saturday, Akshay Kumar unveiled the much-awaited star-studded teaser of "Welcome To The Jungle".
"Welcome to the Jungle" stars a massive ensemble cast including Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav, Johny Lever, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Rahul Dev and singers Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh.
Akshay Kumar shared the promo on Instagram with the caption, "I have given a gift to you and myself on my birthday today. If you like it and say thanks, I'd say Welcome (3)," read the post.
The trailer begins with the entire cast dressed in military uniforms and standing in three rows with rifles. The cast attempts to sing the characteristic "Welcome" song. They add a distinct touch to it by adding different weights to it using their diverse vocal abilities.
Daler Mehndi and Mika intervene by comedically singing "Tunak Tunak Tun" till Arshad Warsi orders them to stop.
"Why do you have to spoil each other's songs when you can't even sing your songs properly?" teases Sanjay Dutt. Suniel Shetty even inquires, "Who brought them here?"
Finally, as they begin to sing again, Disha tries to gain attention by adding her musical touch, but Akshay cuts her off by questioning whether it is a solo or group performance.
The teaser also confirms that the film, helmed by Ahmed Khan, will be released on December 20, 2024.
