Brindaban Das to teach at Kazi Nazrul Islam University
For over two decades, Brindaban Das has established himself as an eminent script writer and actor, in both television and theatre.
He has earned appreciation equally from the critics and audiences, for his screenplay.
On September 14, the artiste joined Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, as an adjunct faculty of Theatre and Performance Department.
He will provide practical training to the students on film, television, and new media subjects which includes in the syllabus under the title of 'Script Writing'.
In his illustrious career, Brindaban Das has received awards as the best playwright from the Bangladesh Film Journalists' Association (BACHSAS) and the Bangladesh Cultural Reporters' Association (BCRA).
He has written numerous plays and serials, including "Harkipte", "Sakin Sarisuri", "Ghor Kutum", "Patro Chai", "Tin Geda", "Service Holder", "Mohor Sheikh", and "Jamai Mela", amongst many others. He has written over four hundred dramas and serials.
Born in the village of Sarora in the Chatmohar Upazila of Pabna district, Brindaban completed his primary education at Shalikha Government Primary School.
He passed his SSC (Secondary School Certificate) from Chatmohar Raja Chandranath and Babu Shambhunath Model Pilot High School and completed his HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) from Chatmohar Government Degree College.
Afterwards, he obtained a BSS (Honors) degree and an MSS degree in Political Science from Jagannath College, which was under the University of Dhaka at that time.
His wife, Shahanaz Khushi is a renowned actress, while their twin sons Shommo Joyti and Dibya Joyti are two promising faces in showbiz.
Brindaban Das was featured in the second season of Ashfaque Nipun's much-hyped web series, "Mohanagar".
