Rail connectivity restored after Bhairab train accident
Rail connectivity with Dhaka and Chattogram, Sylhet and Kishoreganj has been restored four hours after a freight train collided with the Dhaka-bound Egarosindhur Express.
"Operations resumed around 7:30pm," Shahalam Kiran Shishir, division commercial officer (Dhaka division) of Bangladesh Railway confirmed The Daily Star.
At least 17 were killed and scores injured when a freight train and passenger train collided in Kishoreganj's Bhairab upazila this afternoon.
