A fire was brought under control 25 minutes after it broke out at a building in Dhaka's Banani area this afternoon.

One fire engine worked and brought the fire under control at 3:05pm at the under-construction building, said Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of Fire Service Control room.

The fire originated at 2:40pm, he said.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he added.
