Vehicles vandalised, torched at BSMMU
A number of vehicles at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) were torched this morning by unidentified people.
Wielding sticks, several were seen vandalising private cars, ambulances, motorcycles, and buses on the hospital premises around 11:30am.
Our reporter from the spot said there was a chase and counter-chase between the Awami League activists and protesters. At one stage, the AL men took shelter at BSMMU.
Some unidentified people then entered the hospital through the main and carried out the vandalism, they said.
A clash broke out between the protesters and AL men when the report was filed around 11:50am.
The attack triggered fear among the patients, their attendants, doctors and staff.
