bKash wins ‘Visa Payment Excellence Awards-2024’

Mobile financial services (MFS) provider bKash was recognised for its significant contribution to the digital payment ecosystem as it claimed awards in two categories at the "Visa Payment Excellence Awards-2024".

The MFS provider won in the "Wallet Partnership" category for enabling the highest volume of transactions for the third time in a row

The company was also awarded in the "Product Innovation" category for launching direct Visa payment facilities from the bKash app.

Nishat Rahman, chief customer service officer of the MFS provider, received the award from Rafeza Akhter, director of the Payment Systems Department at the Bangladesh Bank, at a hotel in the capital recently, according to a press release.

Ashik Chowdhury, executive chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, James Gardiner, foreign service officer of the US Department of State at the US embassy in Dhaka, Sandeep Ghosh, group country manager for India and South Asia at Visa, and Sabbir Ahmed, Visa's country manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, attended the programme.

bKash has constantly invested to facilitate technological innovation in a bid to improve services and deliver them to the doorsteps of customers across the country.
