Social Islami Bank gets new shariah supervisory committee chairman
Mufti Mahfuzul Haque has been elected as the chairman of Social Islami Bank's Shariah Supervisory Committee.
Haque is a renowned Islamic scholar, the bank said in a press release.
He is secretary general of Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh and principal of Jamia Rahmania Arabia in Dhaka.
He is also a member of the standing committee of Al Haiatul Ulya.
After completing his education, he started his career as a teacher at Jamia Rahmania Arabia, Dhaka in 1993 at the department of Islamic Law and Research and received the title of Mufti.
His insights have earned him prestigious roles across several educational institutions.
Haque is a Bangladeshi Deobandi Islamic scholar, educator and public speaker.
