Dengue claims 9 more lives, 1,214 hospitalised in 24 hours

At least nine dengue patients have died, and 1,214 others have been hospitalised in the last 24 hours till this morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the deaths, five were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation, three in Dhaka South City Corporation, and one in Rajshahi division.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. This brings the total dengue-related deaths to 436 and the total number of cases to 84,368, with 50,410 cases reported from outside Dhaka. Currently, 3,882 patients are undergoing treatment, 2,322 of whom are from outside Dhaka.
So far, 80,050 patients have recovered and been released, including 47,929 from outside Dhaka.
