HRD Model Bangladesh 2.0 unveiled at National HR Convention 2024

The 6th National HR Convention 2024, organised by the Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO), was held on Friday (December 6) at Southeast University, Tejgaon in Dhaka unveiling the HRD Model for Bangladesh 2.0.

Attended by over 300 HR and corporate professionals, the day-long event focused on enhancing workplace competitiveness, fostering innovation, and advancing sustainable human resource development in Bangladesh.

In his address as the Chief Guest, Dr. Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Advisor for the Interim Government, highlighted the critical need for proactive measures by the interim government, saying, "We must work hard; otherwise, the people of Bangladesh may revolt massively."

He also shared a personal story from his career, illustrating how problem-solving and innovative thinking had been pivotal in overcoming significant challenges. 

"Today, problem-solving skills and innovation are not just optional—they are mandatory for all professionals," he further remarked, urging attendees to cultivate these essential competencies in their teams and organizations.

Guest of Honor Professor Mokhles ur Rahman, PhD, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, underscored the government's commitment to training and development. He announced plans to collaborate with 17 FBHRO member organizations to identify areas for improvement under the Bangladesh 2.0 vision, adding, "Our mindset must evolve, and we should learn from Generation G."

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil Family, highlighted the importance of data-driven HR strategies, particularly maintaining a robust database of foreign employees. 

"We must identify the right subjects for our future workforce and ensure our educational systems support them," he said.
