The vibrant TikTok community in Bangladesh took centre stage last night as TikTok hosted the TikTok Creator Awards 2024 in the capital. Held for the second consecutive year in the country, the event celebrated the creative brilliance of Bangladeshi content creators who have revolutionised digital storytelling and entertainment.  

This year's awards recognised creators across 10 categories, shining a spotlight on their creativity, impact, and ability to inspire millions. 

Speaking at the event, Pooja Dutta, head of Content Operations for South Asia at TikTok, emphasised the platform's commitment to supporting local talent. "The TikTok Creator Awards highlight the extraordinary creativity and skill of our community members. Hosting the event again in Bangladesh reflects our ongoing efforts to nurture and celebrate local talent," she said.  

The evening saw top creators honoured for their exceptional contributions. The prestigious Creator of the Year award went to Nadir On The Go, celebrating his exceptional storytelling and influence in the creator community.

The winners were chosen through in-app voting, enabling TikTok users to have their say by supporting their favourite creators. The voting page was live for two weeks, with winners determined by the highest number of votes—a process that ensured transparency and active engagement from the community.
