West Indies thrashed Bangladesh by seven wickets to clinch the second ODI in St. Kitts and win their first ODI series against the Tigers since 2014. Sherfane Rutherford, hero of the first ODI, pulled Shoriful Islam for six to get the winning runs and a very convincing series win.

Bowlers paved the way for the series win with Jayden Seales finishing with four for 22. He removed opener Soumya Sarkar, Liton Das and Mehedi Miraz early in the Bangladesh innings and later picked up the crucial wicket of Mahmudullah Riyad at the death.

Bangladesh slumped to 7 for 115 in just 25 overs despite opener Tanzid Tamim's 33-ball 46 at the top. The left-hander was going strongly but picked up the fielder at backward point in a loose delivery off Justin Greaves to lose his wicket, leaving Tigers at 64 for 4 after Seales's early strikes.

It was the duo of Mahmudullah and number eight Tanzim Hasan, who resurrected Bangladesh's innings, putting on Bangladesh's highest eighth-wicket stand in ODIs with a 92-run stand. Mahmudullah put on a rescue act, holding up one end before hitting some tremendous blows to score 62 off 92 deliveries with two fours and four sixes. Tanzim also hit a career-best 45 during the record stand as Bangladesh reached 227 all out.

Windies came out to chase with a lot of authority. Brandon King and Evin Lewis put on a 109-run opening stand to ensure smooth sailing. Tigers managed their first breakthrough when Lewis fell for 46, out caught-and-bowled by Rishad Hossain but not before he powered his knock with four sixes.

King looked good for a ton but was removed by Nahid Rana for 82 off 76 deliveries. Keacy Carty scored a steady 45 before departing to Afif Hossain. Shai Hope and Rutherford ensured Windies sailed home without losing more wickets and with 79 deliveries to spare.
