Stocks went up marginally in the first hour of trading today, following five consecutive days of losses. 

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 4.79 points or 0.09 percent to 5,129.29 as of 11 am. 

Around 144 issues advanced, 109 declined, and 105 remained unchanged. 

Total turnover stood at Tk 78.40 crore. 

Emerald Oil Industries Ltd and Associated Oxygen led the gains, rising over 9 percent each, while shares of International Leasing & Financial Services fell over 5 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index was down 0.07 percent, losing 10.05 points to 14,354.39.
