Amir Jangoo's "surreal" ODI debut century powered the West Indies to a 3-0 series sweep over Bangladesh as the two-time world champions chased down 322 in St Kitts with four wickets and 10 balls to spare on Thursday.

Jangoo, unbeaten on 104 off 83 balls, became only the second West Indian to score a century on ODI debut since Desmond Haynes pulled off the feat in 1978 -- 18th overall -- guiding his side from early trouble at 31-3.

"It is surreal. An amazing feeling," Jangoo said after match.

"I just didn't want to make a duck on debut. Our head coach gave us a clear path, and I just stuck to it."

Jangoo's 132-run partnership with Keacy Carty (95) steadied the innings before Gudakesh Motie (44*) supported him to the finish. A dropped catch on 61 gave Jangoo a reprieve, which he capitalised on, bringing up his ton with a six.

"He (Carty) is a close friend of mine, made it easy for me. He told me to enjoy my debut and that is what I did," informed Jangoo.

Earlier, Bangladesh posted their best score of the series at 321-5, with Mahmudullah (84*) and Jaker Ali (62*) forging an unbroken 150-run stand.

"Our batters did well, but we couldn't get wickets in the middle overs -- that was the problem," admitted captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz.

"There were chances for the youngsters to take responsibility in this series but we could unfortunately not do so. After this series, we have the Champions Trophy and we know what we need to improve," he added.

West Indies skipper Shai Hope hailed the win, saying: "In the past, we have not been winning series clinically and that is a great standpoint for us."
