Nuhash Humayun’s ‘Dui Shaw’ arrives today
"In this life, sins are not judged. The judgement happens in the grave. But some sins are so heavy that their judgement emerges from the grave itself." This single line appears in the 34-second teaser for the first episode, "Waqt" of Nuhash Humayun directorial series "Dui Shaw". The teaser blends eerie visuals with ominous dialogue, concluding with a haunting harmonium tune that sends shivers down the spine. This gripping atmosphere sets the tone for the upcoming Chorki Original series "Dui Shaw", premiering at midnight.
Directed by Nuhash Humayun "Dui Shaw" is the sequel to "Pett Kata Shaw". The series features four new stories, which will be released weekly over four weeks, beginning with "Waqt". The first episode explores the supernatural consequences of the sins of five individuals and will be available to stream on Chorki from midnight.
Director Nuhash Humayun shared through a press release, "After committing a sin, some people feel remorse, while others don't. In 'Waqt', I've delved into this psychological aspect. Writing and directing the story was a challenging experience for me. The narrative revolves around five main characters, which makes it particularly demanding. Even working with one character can be tough, let alone five. However, thanks to everyone's support, I believe the project turned out well."
The five friends in "Waqt" are portrayed by Allen Shubhro, Rizvi Rizu Chowdhury, Refat Hasan Saikat, Abdullah Al Sentu, and Rafayatullah Sohan.
The other episodes in the series are titled "Bhaggo Bhalo" (Good Fortune), "Antora", and "Besura" (Out of tune).
Nuhash explained, 'Bhaggo Bhalo' revolves around a viral astrologer, 'Antora' explores the supernatural aspects of married life, and 'Besura' tells the story of an artiste born without any sense of melody or rhythm.
The episode "Bhaggo Bhalo" features Mosharraf Karim, Zebunnisa Sobhan (Tuntuni), Adnan Adib Khan, and Samia Othoi. Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, Afzal Hossain, and Shilpi Sarkar Apu star in the "Antora" episode. Meanwhile, "Besura" showcases performances by Arfan Mredha Shiblu, Islam Uddin Palakar, and others.
