'Ondhokarer Gaan' trailer teases mystery and stellar performances
Over recent years, director Vicky Zahed has made a name for himself through notable projects on television and OTT platforms. Known for blending mysteries, thrillers, and science fiction with local narratives, his latest venture is a web-film titled "Ondhokarer Gaan". The trailer for the film debuted yesterday evening.
Set to stream on the OTT platform Binge, the two-minute-fifty-second-long trailer of the film offers a glimpse into an intriguing mystery.
It stars Abul Hayat, Mosharraf Karim, Zakia Bari Mamo, and Shahnaz Sumi, with the story focusing primarily on Mosharraf Karim's character.
The trailer opens with a sequence showing him transferring money to his mother. But is the money reaching her as intended? Gradually, Abul Hayat, Zakia Bari Momo, and Shahnaz Sumi appear, each making their interesting entrances.
The trailer is deliberately ambiguous, revealing little about the characters. It's challenging to determine who embodies good or evil, as the story seems to take place in a morally grey world where no one is entirely heroic or villainous.
Mosharraf Karim and Shahnaz Sumi previously shared the screen in Hoichoi's series "Mobaroknama." This web-film marks their reunion on screen, once again.
The trailer hints at a sense of mystery while showcasing striking visuals and impactful dialogue. A voiceover in the trailer states, "Dhaka city's stomach is vast; once it swallows someone, they can never be found again."
Another line states, "Friendship with the powerful may be sweet, but enmity with them is far more bitter."
Meanwhile, Binge's official social media account has hinted to fans that the release date for this web-film will be announced soon.
